Suruchi Bakshi is a language enthusiast and a blooming storyteller. She strongly believes in the world of stories. She enjoys diving deep into the ocean of story world as it is the perfect medium to travel different places and understand different opinions and thoughts.


WORKSHOP DETAILS

Create and Narrate

The art of storytelling in interesting ways using props and things around us.



The learner will be

  1. Guided In creating the puppets from the articles around them.

  2. Like popsicle sticks and brown paper bags. Eg cow , dog, dolls

  3. To paint/colour the puppets.

  4. To create a set-up for storytelling.

  5. To narrate the story using the puppets.(assignment)


Materials required

  1. Popsicles (ice cream sticks) 2

  2. Old buttons(black/brown)- 1

  3. Paper bag (brown) – 1

  4. Black paper- 1(A4 size)

  5. Pink Paper- 1(A4 size)

  6. Sketch pens

  7. Fevicol

  8. Glue Stick

  9. Child-friendly scissors


At the end of the workshop, The learner should be able to

  1. Create puppets reusing the things around.

  2. Colour and decorate the puppets.

  3. Use the puppets in narrating a story.
